Aircraft Fuel Operator – Safe Refueling Specialist

About the role

The Fuel Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient fueling of aircraft on the tarmac. Working under strict HSSE and regulatory guidelines, the operator ensures that the correct type and quantity of fuel are delivered to each aircraft while maintaining accurate records and adhering to tight turnaround times.

Key responsibilities

• Operate refuelling equipment and dispensers according to Al SHAMS ENERGY COMPANY procedures.
• Perform pre‑operation inspections of all equipment and conduct hand‑overs between shifts.
• Load refuellers, carry out tank‑gauging/dipping and daily fuel sampling.
• Execute fuel quality control tests and document results.
• Drive company vehicles (refueller, dispensers, pick‑ups) in compliance with GACA and company speed limits.
• Complete all required paperwork, forms and electronic records for each fueling operation.
• Report incidents promptly and participate in toolbox talks and safety training.
• Support any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
• Physically fit and able to work in a tarmac environment.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.

Required skills

• Operation of aircraft fueling equipment.
• Use of PCs and Microsoft Office applications for record keeping.
• Basic fuel quality testing and sampling techniques.
