About the role
When you join Amazon as an Area Manager you will lead a large, diverse team in a fulfillment center, ensuring safety, productivity and quality while adapting to fluctuating demand. The role is hands‑on, combining operational oversight with continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing across all shifts.
- Analyse performance data, implement corrective actions and drive productivity to meet business objectives.
- Lead and support a team, handling administrative tasks and fostering a strong team culture.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to optimise work and enhance customer service.
- Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes and coordinate contingency planning.
Required profile
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience (or equivalent Amazon experience).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights and holidays.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques.
