Assembly Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Assembly Technician to join our production team, responsible for building generator sets and related power equipment. The role involves both mechanical and electrical assembly tasks in a workshop environment, ensuring high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of generator sets and related power equipment.
• Install engines, alternators, radiators, exhaust systems, fuel systems, batteries, control panels, wiring, and other components.
• Assemble components according to engineering drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, and specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and other workshop equipment safely and correctly.
• Perform cable routing, wiring, connections, and installation of electrical components as required.
• Ensure proper alignment, fastening, torque, and installation of components.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Identify and report defective components, missing parts, or assembly issues.
• Support testing and troubleshooting of assembled equipment when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Follow all company quality, safety, and production procedures.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other teams to ensure smooth production activities.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in assembly, manufacturing, power generation, industrial equipment, or a similar environment.
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring equipment.
• Experience in generator manufacturing, diesel engines, alternators, switchgear, industrial machinery, or power solutions is an advantage.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
