Assistant Category Manager

About the role

The Assistant Category Manager will support the Category Manager in driving sales, margin and profitability for Panda Retail Company’s product categories. This role focuses on analysing performance data, coordinating with suppliers and ensuring optimal stock levels across stores in Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing category strategies to meet sales and margin targets.
• Analyse sales, pricing and promotional data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and marketing materials.
• Monitor inventory levels to minimise out‑of‑stock and overstock situations.
• Support planning and execution of promotional campaigns to increase category visibility.
• Maintain accurate product and pricing information in the system.
• Prepare performance reports and analyses for management review.
• Follow up on supplier agreements, rebates and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with merchandising and store operations to implement planograms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in category management, retail or commercial sales.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage relationships.
