Assistant Maintenance Manager – Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the Maintenance Manager at Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah, a 5‑star hotel near Al Masjid Al Nabawi. The role involves helping to keep all building systems and equipment operating efficiently while ensuring safety and guest comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing preventive maintenance programmes for all hotel facilities.
• Coordinate daily activities of maintenance staff, external contractors and vendors.
• Monitor and control the maintenance budget, track expenses and support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and industry standards.
• Analyse maintenance data, generate performance reports and recommend improvements.
• Participate in equipment procurement, upgrades and emergency response actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimise operational disruptions during maintenance work.
• Support training and development of junior maintenance team members.

Required profile

• Minimum five years (60 months) of experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
