Assistant Manager – In‑Room Dining

About the role

The Assistant In‑Room Dining Manager oversees the in‑room dining operations, ensuring a seamless experience for guests from order taking to delivery while maintaining the high standards of the Raffles brand.

Key responsibilities

• Approach all guest and employee interactions in a friendly, service‑oriented manner.
• Ensure compliance with Fairmont standards and safety regulations.
• Act as liaison between servers, guests, and the kitchen.
• Oversee daily operations across all shifts, including cleaning duties and supply requisition.
• Manage shift staffing, table‑dressing, and tabletop presentation for meal service.
• Maintain floor presence, greet guests, and handle constructive feedback.
• Prepare shift schedules based on occupancy and special functions.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, linen, and supplies; monitor POS system for guest checks and reports.
• Assist other F&B outlets when needed and assume additional responsibilities in the Restaurant Manager’s absence.

Required profile

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Previous experience in an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or supervisory role, preferably in a 5‑star environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules, and liquor regulations.
