About the role

The College of Business and Digital Innovation at the University of New Haven – Riyadh is seeking an Assistant Professor of Practice in History to join its inaugural faculty cohort starting January 2027. This full‑time position involves teaching undergraduate history courses, contributing to curriculum design, and mentoring students in a vibrant, English‑medium campus.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate history courses such as "Inventing our Modern World" and "Modern Societies and Civilizations" in English.
• Collect and analyze learning assessment data to support academic quality.
• Develop innovative curricula aligned with the college’s business focus.
• Provide academic advising, career mentoring, and professional development guidance to students.
• Engage in departmental, college, and university service activities.
• Participate in student‑focused events to enhance campus life.

Required profile

• M.A. in History (Ph.D. preferred); modern history focus is a plus.
• Minimum two years of demonstrated excellence in college‑level history teaching.
• Strong communication skills and a student‑centered teaching philosophy.
• Commitment to academic excellence and applied research.
