About the role

Prince Sultan University seeks a dynamic male faculty member to join its General Studies Department as an Assistant Professor in Physical Education. The position combines teaching, research, and service, contributing to the university’s commitment to academic excellence and student well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Physical Education and related disciplines.
• Promote physical fitness, wellness, and healthy lifestyle practices among students.
• Supervise and organise practical sessions, sports activities, and student athletic events.
• Mentor students in their academic, professional, and athletic development.
• Participate actively in departmental, college, and university service activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop, assess, and enhance the PE curriculum and programs.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a closely related field (completed by the time of appointment).
• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the university level.
• Evidence of scholarly or professional engagement (research, coaching certifications, publications, or program development).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic community.
• Commitment to promoting inclusivity, student well‑being, and a supportive learning environment.

• One‑year renewable contract with competitive salary based on qualification, rank, and experience.
