Assistant Public Area Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Assistant Public Area Manager supports the Public Area Manager in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all shared spaces of Raffles The Red Sea, a luxury resort in Umluj.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Public Area Manager in directing daily cleaning operations across all shared spaces, including lobbies, restaurants, elevators, and outdoor arrival areas.
• Conduct frequent inspections to ensure surfaces, furnishings and decorative elements meet Luxury Quality Assessment (LQA) standards.
• Lead, coach and motivate a team of Public Area Attendants and Supervisors, fostering a culture of heartfelt hospitality.
• Coordinate routine and deep‑cleaning programmes such as marble polishing, carpet shampooing and special setups for VIP arrivals or events.
• Liaise with Engineering, Front Office and F&B to address maintenance needs or guest concerns promptly.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in luxury hospitality housekeeping, with supervisory or assistant management responsibilities.
• Pre‑opening experience, including project coordination and document control, is mandatory.
• Proactive, anticipatory approach with strong ownership, accountability and impeccable grooming.
• Commitment to sustainability, following Red Sea Global’s reduce‑reuse‑recycle principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management systems such as Opera.
• Specialised cleaning techniques for high‑end finishes, e.g., marble polishing.
• Carpet shampooing and other deep‑cleaning methods.
