Assistant Vice President – Cybersecurity

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Cybersecurity will lead the development, execution and maintenance of SALIC’s information security and cybersecurity strategy. This senior role ensures that security frameworks align with the organization’s strategic objectives and protect critical information assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, processes and procedures to safeguard SALIC’s information systems.
• Manage the cybersecurity governance framework and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Oversee compliance with cybersecurity, information assurance and data protection standards.
• Assess, monitor and manage cybersecurity risks, and respond to incidents to protect classified information.
• Provide expert advice on risk levels, mitigation activities and emerging cyber threats.
• Plan and govern risk assessment processes to protect confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
• Strengthen departmental resources to continuously improve the organization’s security posture.
• Plan, implement and monitor security measures for data, systems and networks.
• Monitor adherence to security policies and safeguard against potential risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading cybersecurity initiatives within a large organization.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) frameworks.
• Ability to develop strategic objectives, KPIs and operational plans.
• Experience preparing and managing departmental budgets.
• Leadership skills to oversee a cybersecurity team and drive performance.
