Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Electrical Engineering

About the role

The Communications and Networks Engineering Department at Prince Sultan University seeks qualified candidates for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in Electrical Engineering for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses such as Electrical Circuits, Electronics Engineering, Advanced Electronics, Power Electronics, Semiconductor Design, Logic Design, and Senior Design Project.
• Develop and lead a sustainable research program, especially in nanoelectronics, microelectronics, VLSI design, or semiconductor devices.
• Contribute to the establishment and growth of the department’s Nanoelectronics Center.
• Secure external research funding and foster interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and academic committees.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong research record with publications in peer‑reviewed journals and conferences.
• Experience or strong interest in nanoelectronics, VLSI, or semiconductor device research.
• Professional certifications or relevant industry experience are highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to obtain research funding and collaborate with international institutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic design automation tools such as Synopsys and Cadence.
• Expertise in analog and digital VLSI design, layout, and fabrication processes.
• Knowledge of advanced CMOS technologies, RFIC, system‑on‑chip (SoC) design, and mixed‑signal circuits.
