Associate Cath Lab Technologist

About the role

The Associate Cath Lab Technologist supports interventional cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional procedures, using advanced fluoroscopy and hemodynamic equipment to help diagnose and treat heart conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain fluoroscopy and hemodynamic equipment.
• Perform physiological assessments using FFR, IFR, IVUS, and OCT.
• Scrub and circulate during diagnostic, coronary, electrophysiology, and structural heart procedures.
• Interrogate and program implantable cardiac devices such as PPM, ICD, and CRT‑D.
• Operate mechanical support devices including IABP and ECMO.
• Contribute to quality control, KPI maintenance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or a related health science.
• Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• 0–2 years of experience in an adult cardiac cath lab.
• Advanced English proficiency and basic Arabic.

Required skills

• Operation of fluoroscopy and hemodynamic equipment.
• Physiological assessment modalities: FFR, IFR, IVUS, OCT.
• Cardiac device interrogation and programming (PPM, ICD, CRT‑D).
• Mechanical circulatory support operation (IABP, ECMO).
• Understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
