AV Manager

About the role

The AV Manager will lead the audio‑visual department of a world‑class hotel, ensuring flawless delivery of sound, lighting, video and digital signage solutions for conferences, entertainment shows and VIP events.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee setup, operation, maintenance, and optimisation of all audio‑visual equipment including sound, lighting, LED screens, projectors, video‑conferencing, control systems, IPTV and digital signage.
• Plan and manage AV requirements for conferences, meetings, entertainment shows, special events and VIP functions, providing technical leadership on‑site.
• Lead, train and schedule the AV team, conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of service excellence.
• Support hotel renovation and new‑project initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies and manage capital‑expenditure projects from planning to implementation.
• Develop and monitor the department’s operating and capital budgets, negotiate contracts with suppliers and ensure timely procurement of equipment and spare parts.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and ISO management standards, conduct risk assessments and implement safe working practices.
• Collaborate with Entertainment, Events, Sales, Banqueting, Operations and IT teams to deliver seamless AV experiences for guests.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing audio‑visual operations in a hospitality or large‑venue environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop technical staff.
• Excellent organisational abilities to plan events, manage budgets and coordinate multiple projects.
• Knowledge of health, safety regulations and ISO standards applicable to AV installations.
