Barista

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Barista to join our hospitality team and deliver premium coffee, tea and specialty beverage experiences. The successful candidate will uphold Rosewood’s standards of luxury service, ensuring each guest receives personalized, high‑quality drinks in a clean and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional, and personalized service, engaging with guests to recommend beverages and food pairings.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso‑based drinks, teas, fresh juices, mocktails and other specialty beverages following established recipes.
• Operate, clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders and related equipment, monitoring quality, consistency and temperature.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and service areas, perform opening and closing procedures, and manage inventory using FIFO principles.
• Adhere to food safety, HACCP and sanitation standards, and follow health, safety and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Professional Barista certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of barista experience in a luxury hotel, premium café, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
• Experience with specialty coffee preparation and espresso‑based beverages is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong coffee preparation and latte‑art techniques.
• Operation and maintenance of espresso machines and grinders.
• Knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods and current beverage trends.
