Bolt Torquing Technician

About the role

The Bolt Torquing Technician will work full‑time on‑site in Dammam, performing precise bolt torquing and tensioning on industrial equipment and piping systems. The role supports SAAB Energy Solutions’ commitment to quality, safety and minimal downtime for its oil & gas and related industrial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Use calibrated manual and hydraulic torque tools and tensioning equipment to achieve specified torque values.
• Prepare work areas, verify flange and joint integrity, and record torque and test results.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers and site teams to plan work and participate in shutdowns and maintenance activities.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment in line with ISO‑certified practices.
• Support quality and compliance documentation according to company and client standards.

Required profile

• Technical competence in bolt torquing, tensioning and safe operation of related tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, torque procedures and flange management plans.
• Strong safety awareness, including lockout/tagout and basic ISO quality standards.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial fittings, flanges, hoses and general maintenance, preferably in oil & gas or similar sectors.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordination and accurate reporting.
• Relevant technical diploma, trade certificate or vocational qualification in mechanical/industrial maintenance; prior bolt‑torquing experience is an advantage.
