Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth for a leading global logistics provider operating in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to senior leadership, you will expand the client base, increase revenue, and ensure long‑term sustainability through strategic initiatives and strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement business development strategies to achieve long‑term growth and revenue targets.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients to maximise retention and upsell opportunities.
• Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities across air, sea and land freight services.
• Develop compelling proposals and lead negotiations to secure favourable terms.
• Research market trends, competitor activity and emerging income streams to keep the business competitive.
• Generate leads through inbound follow‑up and outbound cold‑calling/email campaigns.
• Onboard new accounts, establish credit facilities and coordinate operational procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 3‑5 years of business development experience within the Saudi Arabian market.
• Proven experience in the freight forwarding or logistics sector (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of local business culture, regulations and a solid network of relevant contacts.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
