About the role
Proofpoint is seeking an energetic Business Development Representative to drive qualified sales opportunities across Emerging Markets in the Middle East and Africa. You will work closely with regional sales, marketing, and account management teams to turn inbound interest and outbound prospecting into sales‑accepted leads.
Key responsibilities
- Qualify and develop inbound and outbound leads, responding to product inquiries.
- Gather actionable intelligence on competition, projects, and purchase intent for assigned accounts.
- Follow up on marketing‑generated leads and convert interest into sales‑accepted opportunities.
- Design and execute email campaigns to attract new prospects.
- Conduct cold‑calling campaigns to generate fresh sales pipelines.
- Maintain accurate communication records in Salesforce.com.
- Coordinate and schedule product demonstrations between the Enterprise Sales team and potential customers.
Required profile
- Proven experience building new relationships through cold‑calling and email prospecting.
- Track record of success in a goal‑driven, target‑oriented environment.
- Highly motivated, competitive personality with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with solutions deployed in private or public cloud environments is a plus.
