About the role

Proofpoint is seeking an energetic Business Development Representative to create qualified sales opportunities in emerging markets across the Middle East and Africa. You will work closely with regional sales, marketing, and account management teams to turn prospect interest into sales‑accepted leads.

Key responsibilities

  • Qualify and develop inbound and outbound leads, responding to product inquiries.
  • Gather actionable intelligence on accounts, including competition, projects, and purchase intent.
  • Convert marketing‑generated leads into sales‑accepted opportunities.
  • Execute email and cold‑calling campaigns to generate new prospects.
  • Maintain accurate communication records in Salesforce.com.
  • Schedule product demonstrations with the Enterprise Sales team.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in cold‑calling and email prospecting.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a goal‑driven environment.
  • Highly motivated, competitive personality with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
