Business Process Monitoring & Improvement Director

About the role

The Business Process Monitoring & Improvement Director leads the design, governance, measurement and continuous improvement of ZATCA’s core processes. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures alignment with the Authority’s strategic objectives and drives operational excellence across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the operational plan for Business Process Monitoring & Improvement, ensuring alignment with the Organizational Excellence and Strategy & Development plans.
• Manage budgeting for the function, monitor spend, and propose initiatives that deliver financial and operational risk mitigation.
• Oversee the revision, communication, and implementation of process guidelines, templates, and BPA updates in coordination with IT and Digitization teams.
• Lead the documentation, analysis, and approval of process manuals, change requests, and improvement plans based on internal assessments.
• Define and monitor SLAs and KPIs for all processes, enforce corrective actions, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Coordinate technical updates with the BIC platform vendor and ensure successful implementation.
• Build internal capability through training, awareness programs, and partnerships with national and international BPM firms.
• Participate in talent acquisition, mentor direct reports, set performance objectives, and foster a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent (Master’s preferred).
• Approximately 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Advanced competencies in strategic and business planning, quality management, policy making, data analytics, business excellence, change management, professionalism, collaboration, results orientation, customer focus, enablement of innovation, leading by example, strategic thinking, team development, and operational excellence.
