Buyer – Private Label Management

About the role

The Buyer – Private Label Management is responsible for executing day‑to‑day purchasing activities across assigned product categories. You will ensure product availability, cost efficiency and compliance while supporting the growth of private‑label, B2B and global sourcing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute category purchasing activities to meet approved buying plans and budgets.
• Analyze sales performance, demand forecasts and stock levels to optimise order quantities and minimise over‑stock or stock‑out risks.
• Coordinate supplier communications on pricing, availability, lead times and order confirmations.
• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and on time.
• Monitor supplier performance against quality, delivery and service standards.
• Support pricing, commercial term and promotion negotiations under Category Manager guidance.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and Operations to align purchasing decisions with business needs.
• Review product listings, specifications and documentation for regulatory and private‑label compliance.
• Track market trends, competitor pricing and sourcing opportunities to inform category growth strategies.
