Cardiac Surgical ICU Nurse

About the role

The Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) at a leading hospital in Jeddah provides 24/7 critical care for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients undergoing cardiac or thoracic surgery. The position involves delivering high‑quality nursing care on 12‑hour day/night shifts within a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuous intensive nursing care to patients after cardiac, valve, coronary artery bypass and thoracic aortic procedures.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics and ventilator settings, and intervene promptly when abnormalities arise.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and ensure accurate documentation of patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, respiratory therapists and other team members to coordinate patient care plans.
• Participate in hand‑overs, shift reports and quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current licensure.
• Experience in intensive care, preferably in cardiac or thoracic surgery settings.
• Ability to work 12‑hour rotating day/night shifts.
• Willingness to relocate to Jeddah and work onsite in a hospital environment.
