About the role

The Ritz-Carlton in Jeddah is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join its Food & Beverage team. This full‑time, non‑management position involves preparing and cooking high‑quality dishes while maintaining strict sanitation and safety standards in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to sanitation and health regulations throughout food preparation and service.
• Collaborate with the Chef to review assignments, anticipate business levels, and adjust preparations accordingly.
• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, store and organize food items for timely service.
• Cook dishes according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards, monitoring food quality at every stage.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, testing for doneness by tasting, smelling, or piercing.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnish before plating and serving.
• Monitor food and labor costs, control waste, and identify potential shortages.
• Direct and assist stewards to maximize clean‑up efficiency.
• Provide ideas and run the kitchen in the absence of the Chef and Sous Chef.
• Use kitchen tools safely, wash and disinfect work areas, and verify appliance and food temperatures.
• Follow all company safety policies, report incidents, and maintain a professional uniform and appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant culinary experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
