Chief Butler

About the role

The Chief Butler leads the Butler Service at Rosewood Red Sea, overseeing personalized service for villas, suites and guest areas. This senior position ensures every guest experience is flawlessly executed with discretion and the highest luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the Butler Service operation across all villas, suites and designated guest zones.
• Inspect villas and suites before guest arrival to guarantee presentation and service standards.
• Coordinate welcome amenities, floral arrangements, fruit, and special setups, ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate guest preference profiles and service histories.
• Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Concierge, Food & Beverage, Spa, Laundry, Engineering and Florist teams.
• Manage room readiness, special requests, celebrations and VIP arrangements.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, address service issues promptly and professionally.
• Keep operational logs, service records and follow‑up items up to date.
• Oversee the use, safety and presentation of resort buggies used by the Butler team.
• Plan staffing, scheduling and coverage based on occupancy and guest requirements.
• Control departmental resources, stock levels and waste.
• Lead, coach and develop the Butler team through daily briefings, training and performance reviews.
• Review and update Butler SOPs and procedures.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in Butler operations or luxury guest services, with at least 2‑3 years in a leadership role.
• Background in a luxury or ultra‑luxury resort, hotel or branded residence environment.
• Strong understanding of villa and suite service, guest personalization and high‑end service delivery.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple hotel departments and manage complex guest requests.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and team‑building skills.
