Chief Finance Officer - Insurance (KSA)

About the role

Orient Insurance PJSC is looking for a Chief Finance Officer to analyse and report financial information so that management can make informed decisions, and to manage related records efficiently in line with Group policies, International Accounting Standards and Federal laws. The role covers financial management, cost control, capital and asset management, investment planning and budget control, and operational management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounts and financial records for underwriting and financial transactions in line with international accounting standards and group policies, complying with federal laws on companies and insurance business.
• Develop and implement internal control systems and procedures to protect the company's assets, and regularly review transaction processing systems so they are accurate and reflect business needs.
• Formulate the annual budget and quarterly reviews, monitor performance against budget and business objectives, and inform management timely of the company's financial status and results.
• Prepare reports on underwriting and financial matters for management, reinsurers and government departments to support decision-making and meet statutory requirements.
• Plan and organise financial resources to manage working capital and meet cash flow requirements.
• Develop an investment strategy for surplus funds to maximise yield and income.
• Assist in formulating the company's future direction, support tactical initiatives, and monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans at overseas entities.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification.
• 10-15 years of experience in a progressive organisation, including 5-7 years in a senior managerial position.
• Knowledge of general insurance, with particular emphasis on marine, hull and cargo, non-marine, motor, life and medical.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills.
