Senior Director – Commercial (Development Finance)

About the role

Qiddiya is seeking a senior leader to head its development finance function, overseeing funding strategies for large‑scale development, infrastructure, real estate and strategic investment projects. The role reports to the executive leadership team and drives financial performance through innovative financing solutions and strong stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of financing strategies for major development programs.
• Oversee financial feasibility studies, business cases, investment analyses and funding assessments.
• Develop capital structures, financing plans and funding models to support project delivery.
• Engage with banks, investors, sovereign wealth funds, development finance institutions and other financial partners.
• Direct debt raising, refinancing, project finance and capital market activities as needed.
• Monitor portfolio performance, liquidity requirements and financing risks.
• Provide strategic financial recommendations to executive leadership and governance committees.
• Collaborate with Development, Commercial, Treasury, Legal, Risk and Investment teams.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive experience in development finance, project finance, investment banking or related fields.
• Proven track record structuring and executing complex financing transactions for large‑scale projects.
• Experience managing senior finance teams and influencing executive decision‑making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, FRM or MBA are a plus.
