CISO Mentor – Part‑time Security Leadership Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CISO Mentor to provide part‑time strategic guidance to emerging security leaders in a fast‑growing, globally distributed technology environment. Based in Saudi Arabia, you will help shape a mature, scalable Information Security function while working only a few hours each month.

Key responsibilities

• Advise security leaders on building, scaling and continuously improving an Information Security program.
• Provide strategic guidance on perimeter and network defenses, including WAF, rate limiting, anti‑bot protections and DDoS mitigation.
• Mentor teams on securing product APIs, authentication, authorization, access controls and protection against IDOR vulnerabilities.
• Guide the Vulnerability Management lifecycle from identification to remediation and tracking.
• Support external penetration testing programs and oversee remediation of findings.
• Lead product security incident response, crisis management and post‑incident activities.
• Collaborate with monitoring, fraud, trust & safety and business teams to establish effective detection and response processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of senior‑level experience in information security or related fields.
• Proven track record of advising or mentoring security executives.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Experience working in cloud‑centric, globally distributed technology environments.
