Cluster Director of Purchasing – Luxury Hospitality

About the role

The Cluster Director of Purchasing will lead procurement operations for Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea, a luxury hospitality development in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape purchasing strategies across multiple properties, ensuring cost efficiency, high‑quality supply, and alignment with brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies and procurement plans for the cluster properties.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive pricing and reliable supply‑chain performance.
• Oversee inventory management, optimizing stock levels to minimize waste while ensuring product availability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Analyze spending patterns and market trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Collaborate with department heads and property managers to deliver tailored purchasing solutions.
• Monitor KPIs, prepare detailed procurement reports, and manage budget utilization.
• Evaluate, onboard, and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers.

Required profile

• Minimum 8‑10 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply‑chain management, preferably in hospitality or luxury sectors.
• Proven experience managing procurement operations across multiple properties or a cluster environment.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities with a track record of cost optimisation without compromising quality.
• Excellent leadership and team‑management capabilities.
