CNC Coolant Filling Technician (PWHT Plants)

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for a detail-oriented CNC Coolant Filling Technician with experience in Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) plant environments. The role covers the full management, preparation and maintenance of metalworking fluids and coolants for high-precision CNC machines, supporting tool life, machining quality and safe, continuous operations in a heavy industrial setting. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Mix, distribute and replenish coolants, cutting fluids and lubricants across multiple CNC machines according to operational parameters.
• Perform daily chemical tests with refractometers and pH meters to check coolant concentration, alkalinity and biological control.
• Clean machine sumps, operate tramp oil skimmers and maintain coolant recycling and filtration equipment.
• Work safely alongside PWHT operations, keeping fluid management aligned with production and heat-treating schedules.
• Troubleshoot fluid issues such as foaming, foul odors, rust or poor tool life and adjust chemical dosing.
• Track chemical consumption, manage stock levels of raw coolant fluids and initiate purchase requests.
• Follow HSE protocols for handling, storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste, and keep accurate logs and MSDS records.

Required profile

• High school diploma, technical diploma or equivalent certification in mechanical maintenance, machining or industrial chemistry.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC machine maintenance, focused on fluid and coolant management.
• Proven work history in heavy manufacturing, oil and gas or large industrial plants; experience in or around PWHT plants is mandatory.
• Excellent physical stamina, attention to detail and ability to work independently and with machining operators.

Required skills

• Proficiency with fluid testing equipment such as refractometers and titration kits.
• Strong understanding of coolant chemistry, mixing ratios and bacterial control.
• Familiarity with CNC sump cleaning and industrial pumping equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards (e.g. OSHA) and safe chemical handling and disposal.
