Coating Supervisor - Oil & Gas

About the role

ABIS is looking for a Coating Supervisor for its oil and gas projects. The supervisor oversees the application of coatings to infrastructure and equipment, making sure work meets project specifications, safety regulations and quality standards. The role involves directing coating crews, working with quality control inspectors and monitoring on-site progress.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day coating operations so they finish on time and to quality standards.
• Coordinate with site engineers, QA/QC teams and contractors to meet project requirements.
• Make sure all coating work follows safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Inspect surface preparation, coating application and curing processes.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on coating work.
• Train and mentor coating crew members.
• Spot and fix problems during coating work to reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, coating technology or a related field preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of experience supervising coating activities in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, able to work well under pressure.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of coating materials, surface preparation and application techniques.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NACE and SSPC and relevant safety regulations.
