Commercial Director – Large‑Scale PMO Programme

About the role

Knight Frank’s Project & Development Services division is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to provide strategic commercial leadership for a large‑scale PMO programme in Riyadh. The role involves overseeing a portfolio of high‑profile tower developments and associated infrastructure, ensuring commercial excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic commercial leadership and align commercial objectives with project and business goals.
• Act as the senior commercial authority, advising on strategy, risk exposure and contractual obligations.
• Develop and implement commercial governance frameworks, policies and controls.
• Lead contract administration, interpretation, compliance, and support negotiations with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks; manage variations, claims and dispute avoidance strategies.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting and reporting for the PMO agreement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading commercial functions on major development projects.
• Strong understanding of PMO environments, consultancy services agreements and large‑scale mixed‑use or high‑rise construction programmes.
• Proven ability to operate at executive level within complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent contract management, risk mitigation and financial performance oversight skills.
