Compliance Expert – Regulatory Monitoring & Risk Management

About the role

We are seeking a Compliance Expert to strengthen our compliance framework and support the organization’s strategic economic development mission. The role will focus on monitoring, testing, and enhancing compliance across business units, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the annual compliance monitoring and testing plan according to the approved scope, schedule, and methodology.
• Conduct risk‑based compliance reviews and field testing across business units to assess adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and internal controls.
• Document testing procedures, evidence, observations, and findings following established quality standards.
• Analyze compliance gaps, identify root causes, and prepare risk‑based reports with practical corrective recommendations.
• Monitor and follow up on compliance findings to ensure timely closure, escalating overdue or high‑risk issues as needed.
• Maintain and update the organization’s compliance universe by tracking relevant legal, regulatory, and policy obligations.
• Prepare compliance reports, regulatory submissions, dashboards, and performance metrics for management and authorities.
• Coordinate compliance audits and regulatory inspections by preparing documentation and supporting inspection activities.
• Provide guidance to business units on compliance requirements and promote awareness of obligations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and recommend updates to controls, policies, and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, internal control, risk management, or audit.
