Construction Planner

About the role

The Planner supports schedule development, progress monitoring and reporting for assigned disciplines within ABICON's scope of work, ensuring accurate and timely schedule updates. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and verify progress data from site supervisors and foremen.
• Update assigned discipline schedules in Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and productivity tracking sheets.
• Support preparation of look-ahead schedules for site execution.
• Assist in measuring progress and tracking quantities against baseline, and identify and report schedule deviations to the Lead Planner.
• Support preparation of progress curves and histograms, and coordinate with site supervision to validate reported progress.
• Maintain planning records and documentation, and support manpower and equipment histograms for the assigned scope.
• Assist in preparing input for client progress reports.

Required profile

• +3 years of experience in planning and scheduling on construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Advanced MS Excel.
• Reading construction drawings and schedules, and reporting and data tracking.
• Core competencies: attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication and time management.
