Consultant – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

About the role

The Consultant in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation will deliver high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care within NMC Hospitals and Clinics, adhering to evidence‑based medicine, professional ethics and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations. The role combines clinical expertise with leadership of the rehabilitation department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic procedures for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Lead multidisciplinary ward rounds and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise junior medical staff, nursing personnel and technicians, ensuring adherence to clinical standards.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, emergency response and patient referrals to appropriate facilities.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Drive departmental quality improvement initiatives and performance‑measurement activities.
• Engage in continuous medical education, research, case reporting and professional conferences.

Required profile

• Board‑certified specialist in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care.
• Demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities.
• Familiarity with Saudi health regulations, CBHAI/JCI standards and hospital bylaws.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, ethics and quality improvement.
