Consultant PICU Specialist – Riyadh

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant PICU Specialist to join a leading tertiary healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. The role involves providing specialized intensive care management for critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a state‑of‑the‑art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Perform and supervise advanced procedures such as intubation, central venous access, arterial line placement, and ventilator management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with pediatric subspecialists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams.
• Respond to pediatric emergencies and rapid response situations.
• Supervise junior physicians, residents, and PICU staff while maintaining accurate documentation.

Required profile

• MBBS/Medical Degree with specialization in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Board certification (CCT, European Board, American Board, or equivalent) and eligibility for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties licensing.
• Minimum 5 years of consultant‑level PICU experience, preferably in tertiary or internationally accredited hospitals.
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
