Country Managing Director – Engineering Consultancy (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

The Country Managing Director will lead the Engineering Consultancy business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, shaping strategy, driving growth and ensuring operational excellence across the local chapter.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the strategic direction aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead execution of business plans, set measurable targets and ensure accountability across all departments.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and best practices in design, engineering and project management.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners and regulatory bodies.
• Set KPIs, allocate resources efficiently and manage risk in project delivery.
• Represent the company in high‑level negotiations and stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in engineering consultancy or related fields, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale engineering projects with focus on quality, safety and efficiency.
• Deep knowledge of KSA market dynamics, regulatory frameworks and cultural nuances.
• Strong financial acumen – budget management, forecasting and resource allocation.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict‑resolution and stakeholder‑influence skills.
• Extensive network of industry contacts within the Saudi engineering sector.
• Experience building and leading diverse teams and fostering talent development.
• Commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable engineering practices.
