Critical Care Specialist

About the role

The Critical Care Specialist will deliver high‑quality patient care within the intensive care unit of Fakeeh Care, adhering to established privileges, standards, and hospital policies. The role involves direct clinical work, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with granted privileges and Fakeeh Care protocols.
• Document all clinical activities following hospital documentation policies.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures, in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Perform or assist in medical and surgical procedures within the scope of privileges.
• Generate and deliver medical reports promptly using the prescribed format.
• Participate in departmental meetings, scientific activities, and junior staff training.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, adhere to safety protocols, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Effective communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and non‑medical staff.
• Ability to work organizedly in high‑stress environments.
• Completed specialty training and relevant experience as required by the regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS/DHA) in recognized medical centers.
• Board/Fellowship/Master level education in the relevant medical field.
• Valid practice license, BLS certification, and any additional advanced licenses as applicable.
