Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement, monitor and maintain the organization’s security controls and infrastructure. The role safeguards the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and data by protecting against cyber threats, responding to incidents and enforcing security best practices across the IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security platforms such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS and email security solutions.
• Detect, analyse and respond to suspicious activities, alerts and potential incidents, escalating critical events as needed.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, coordinate remediation with infrastructure and application teams and report risk‑based findings.
• Implement, configure and maintain security tools including endpoint protection, DLP, MFA, VPN, web filtering and access control systems.
• Participate in incident response activities – triage, containment, eradication, recovery and root‑cause analysis.
• Apply security hardening standards to servers, workstations, network devices and cloud resources, supporting Zero Trust and defense‑in‑depth strategies.
• Support identity and access management controls, privileged access, role‑based access, MFA, SSO and identity governance.
• Assist with compliance audits, risk assessments and maintain documentation required for regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security monitoring, threat detection and incident response.
• Strong background in vulnerability management and remediation coordination.
• Hands‑on knowledge of security infrastructure administration and security hardening.
• Familiarity with access control, identity security and compliance processes.
