DataOps Intern

About the role

Tabby is looking for a motivated DataOps Intern to join its Data Platform team. You will work on real production infrastructure that supports AI, ML and data workloads, under senior review from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for services and models on GCP and bare‑metal clusters.
• Run, debug and troubleshoot containerised workloads on Kubernetes.
• Set up, improve and act on monitoring, alerting and logging systems.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python or Bash.
• Support model training and inference environments, including resource provisioning and cost optimisation.
• Investigate incidents in infrastructure and pipelines, helping to identify root causes.
• Enhance platform reliability and cost‑efficiency while complying with SAMA regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong Linux fundamentals (filesystem, processes, permissions, networking, shell).
• Hands‑on experience building or deploying on at least one cloud provider (GCP preferred).
• Good understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP and load balancing.
• Experience with containers and enough Kubernetes knowledge to deploy and debug workloads.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability concepts (metrics, logs, alerts).
• Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation.
• Current use of AI tools in personal engineering projects.
• Ability to receive and act on constructive feedback; English sufficient for documentation.
