Deals, Infrastructure Finance Senior Associate

About the role

PwC Middle East's Infrastructure Finance team is part of a global network of over 600 professionals, working across the Middle East with bankers, accountants, engineers, economists and former developers who have a strong track record in infrastructure and PPP. As a Senior Associate in Deals, you will advise clients on strategy, concept development, feasibility studies, business plans, due diligence, bid development, procurement strategies, commercial structuring and project financing, covering sectors such as power and utilities, renewables, social infrastructure and transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Procurement and transaction advisory, including drafting procurement documents and schedules, reviewing them and benchmarking against precedent projects
• Policy advisory for federal and provincial government clients
• Preparation of business cases, risk analysis and quantification, and financial analysis of project finance structures, instruments and pricing
• Financial and general Excel modeling, and writing reports, memos and PowerPoint presentations
• Research and industry papers on the infrastructure sector and financial markets, proposal writing and business development

Required profile

• University degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law or a related discipline
• MBA or a professional designation such as CFA or CPA is an asset
• 3-5 years of industry experience in Natural Resources, Transportation and/or Power & Utilities
• Excellent English communication and writing skills; Arabic is an advantage

Required skills

• Solid financial and general Excel modeling skills
• Knowledge of public-private partnerships and their financing structures
• Understanding of procurement models (traditional, alternative, innovative) and documents (RFQ, RFP, project agreements)

The role involves travel of up to 20%, and the employer offers work visa sponsorship.
