Deburring & Marking Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Deburring & Marking Technician to ensure machined and fabricated components meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections, as well as accurately marking parts according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform deburring, edge breaking, and surface finishing using hand and power tools.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, excess material, and surface defects while preserving dimensional accuracy.
• Mark components using approved methods such as stamping, engraving, vibro‑etching, or laser marking.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and marking requirements.
• Inspect finished components to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or manufacturing disciplines is a plus.
• 2‑5 years of experience in deburring and marking of machined or fabricated components within manufacturing, fabrication, oil & gas, or heavy engineering environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good understanding of workplace safety and housekeeping practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with deburring tools, grinders, files, rotary tools, and polishing equipment.
• Knowledge of part‑marking methods such as stamping, engraving, vibro‑etching, and laser marking.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
