Deputy Project Director – Talent Pool

About the role

We are building a talent pool for a Deputy Project Director who will lead large‑scale rail projects in Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing project execution, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and driving innovation across multidisciplinary teams. You will work closely with engineering, operations and client stakeholders to deliver sustainable mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee large‑scale project execution, ensuring scalability and alignment with Alstom’s global standards.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration between engineering, operations and client stakeholders.
• Implement robust processes to guarantee reliability, safety and compliance throughout all project phases.
• Champion innovation by introducing advanced technologies and methodologies.
• Promote knowledge sharing and mentorship to cultivate continuous improvement and leadership development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in large‑scale infrastructure or rail projects, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in project management tools, risk assessment and contract negotiation.
• Deep understanding of rail systems, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking and stakeholder management abilities.
