Design Manager – Structural & Civil

About the role

WSP is seeking a Design Manager – Structural & Civil to lead the design and delivery of major development projects within a growing portfolio. The role involves overseeing structural and civil engineering design activities, ensuring solutions are coordinated, practical, and aligned with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage structural and civil engineering consultants and design deliverables.
• Review engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate interfaces between buildings, infrastructure, utilities, and public realm elements.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, risk workshops, and value engineering exercises.
• Monitor consultant performance and programme commitments.
• Support technical decision‑making throughout design development.
• Coordinate engineering inputs across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Assist with tender reviews and construction support activities when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience on large‑scale mixed‑use, residential, commercial, or hospitality developments.
• Strong understanding of structural systems, infrastructure integration, and design coordination.
