Development Manager – Logistics and Industrial Projects

About the role

A GCC-focused real estate firm is recruiting a Development Manager in Riyadh to oversee a large-scale project built from scratch, working closely with on-site partners, consultants and contractors. The client is a private equity firm building a platform of Grade A+ logistics and industrial developments across Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development process from land stage through design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules and development strategies.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities, utility providers and other stakeholders.
• Oversee planning, design development and value engineering, and manage tendering and contractor appointment.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, cost and risk, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Prepare project status reports for senior management and investors, and identify and mitigate development risks.
• Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders and support the investment team with investor reporting.
• Build relationships with local authorities, including Saudi and UAE government and industrial authorities.
• Oversee the transition to operational status, develop asset management strategies, and monitor occupancy, leasing and financial returns.
• Evaluate new development opportunities, help set up development processes and standards, and act as the firm's subject-matter expert on the Saudi and/or UAE development market.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management or a related field.
• Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience in real estate development.
• Proven experience managing projects through the full development lifecycle, ideally from land acquisition through leasing and stabilization.
• Experience on the developer, investor or owner's side rather than purely contractor or construction delivery.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple stakeholders, consultants, contractors and government authorities.
• Logistics, industrial or warehouse development experience strongly preferred; broader commercial or mixed-use experience also considered.
• Exposure to institutional or international developers or investors is a plus.
