Director, Global Strategic Advisor

About the role

Join Ankura’s Global Strategic Advisor practice to help clients navigate international growth, engage with governments and NGOs, and manage reputation during critical moments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and support startup and scale‑up ecosystem initiatives, driving venture creation and growth.
• Define segment‑specific growth pathways and translate them into programme structures, partnership models and funding approaches.
• Assess ecosystem effectiveness through impact and cost‑benefit analysis, and develop performance tracking mechanisms.
• Organise project work streams, achieve engagement objectives and assist with business development.
• Develop client‑facing materials, support government affairs dialogues, and contribute to market intelligence products.

Required profile

• Graduate‑level qualification in Business Administration, Innovation, Start‑Ups or related field.
• International work experience in professional services, start‑up or accelerator environments.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Middle East policy and commercial sectors with strong analytical and English writing skills.
• Proven experience in local, regional and international innovation and start‑up ecosystems.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, ability to travel at short notice nationally and internationally.
