Drafting Trainer – Oil & Gas (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

The Drafting Trainer will design, deliver, and assess technical drafting training for employees and trainees within the oil & gas sector. The role combines classroom instruction, hands‑on demonstrations, and performance evaluation to ensure participants meet industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver training programs covering basic to advanced drafting techniques.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans, presentations, manuals, quizzes, and examinations.
• Assess trainee performance through written and practical evaluations, provide feedback, and suggest improvement plans.
• Monitor attendance, progress, and classroom discipline to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation in line with company procedures.
• Ensure all training activities comply with company policies, engineering standards, and HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Associate/Two‑year Diploma in Drafting Technology (or High School/Vocational Diploma in Engineering Drawing/Drafting).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant oil & gas experience with a degree, or 11 years without a degree.
• Fluent English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent); Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Proven experience in training, mentoring, or delivering technical instruction.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MicroStation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with mechanical, civil, structural, or architectural drafting.
