Drilling Engineer – Well Planning & Execution

About the role

The Drilling Engineer will lead the design, planning and execution of drilling programs, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective operations for our customers. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate geological targets into practical well plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive well plans, selecting optimal drilling techniques, equipment and drill bits.
• Create wellbore trajectories that meet geological, operational and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for wellbore stability, lost circulation and formation pressures.
• Collaborate with geologists and LWD specialists for real‑time geosteering and logging‑while‑drilling.
• Ensure all activities comply with environmental, safety and regulatory standards.
• Analyse drilling performance data and recommend process improvements.
• Identify and implement drilling optimization opportunities and new technologies.
• Prepare technical reports, well plans and post‑drilling evaluations.
• Support junior engineers and DHT specialists through mentoring.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering (Petroleum, Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in drilling engineering or well planning.
