Electrical and Instrument Manager - Pulp and Paper

About the role

Careers International is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrument Manager to lead the PM5 Project in Jeddah. The successful candidate will manage the installation, programming and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems so that all processes meet industry standards and project requirements. At least 15 years of experience in the pulp and paper industry and fluency in English and Arabic are required.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, programming and commissioning of ABB drives, especially the AS880 series.
• Handle and program 800xA systems with Control Builder, and develop systems using AC800M controllers with Control Builder.
• Program ABB HMIs with Panel Builder and use Automation Builder for AC500 controllers.
• Supervise commissioning and programming of ABB magnet drives and Siemens S7 PLC logic systems.
• Develop functional descriptions and logic diagrams, and commission control valves, pressure transmitters, contingency transmitters and other instruments.
• Commission Siemens drives (Simovrt, MasterDrive, Micro Master, Sinamics) via appropriate interfaces.
• Work with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical and instrument management within the pulp and paper industry.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
• In-depth knowledge of ABB drives (AS880) and 800xA systems, and experience with AC800M, AC500 and Siemens S7.
• Preferred: strong leadership, project management, problem-solving and communication skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
