Electrical Design & Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly technical Electrical Design & Manufacturing Engineer to lead the creation, assembly, testing and commissioning of electrical and control panels. The role combines design engineering, production supervision and after‑sales support to ensure high‑quality, standards‑compliant solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design power, control and automation panels based on client specifications and applicable standards.
• Produce electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar tools.
• Select appropriate components such as breakers, contactors, relays, VFDs, PLCs and protection devices.
• Develop bills of materials, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation.
• Lead and supervise the production team to ensure accurate assembly, wiring and quality compliance.
• Conduct inspections, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of panels.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, UL and other relevant electrical standards.
• Collaborate with procurement, quality and project teams to meet schedules and customer requirements.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and after‑sales activities.
• Identify opportunities for design optimisation, cost reduction and process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical panel design, manufacturing or switchgear.
• Strong knowledge of low‑voltage power distribution, motor control centres and control panels.
• Familiarity with PLC and automation systems is an advantage.
• Good understanding of IEC, UL and electrical safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team.
