Electrical Engineer - Buildings / Residential Projects

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for an Electrical Engineer with expertise in buildings and residential projects to join its team in Saudi Arabia. The engineer designs, implements and supervises electrical systems in residential buildings and related structures, working closely with architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines to ensure safe, efficient and compliant installations. The position is onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering and construction support for electrical systems in line with client standards and local regulations.
• Review electrical designs to ensure they meet project specifications and operational requirements.
• Perform electrical load analysis and circuit evaluations, proposing modifications or upgrades where needed.
• Help resolve engineering challenges through accepted engineering practices, calculations and diagrams.
• Take part in developing cost estimates for electrical work, including materials, labour and equipment.
• Interpret and apply relevant codes and standards.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of electrical systems on site, conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 7 to 12 years of engineering experience; a minimum of 3 to 5 years in power distribution, low voltage systems and building/residential projects is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with contractors, consultants and government authorities is preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as electrical schematics and compliance reports.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills, and ability to manage multiple projects within a team.

Required skills

• Understanding of electrical engineering principles related to power distribution and compliance with national and international standards.
• Preferred: knowledge of cost estimation and procurement for electrical projects.
