Electrical Engineer – Manufacturing Systems

About the role

CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd is looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to maintain and improve electrical systems across its manufacturing facilities, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and components for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions in machinery, production lines, and plant infrastructure.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
• Prepare and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical safety standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA, IEC).
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and production teams to optimise processes and equipment performance.
• Manage electrical projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and vendor coordination.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and recommend corrective actions.
• Train and mentor junior electrical technicians as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Industrial control systems – PLCs, VFDs, HMIs.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• AutoCAD Electrical (or similar CAD software).
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards such as NFPA and IEC.
